Random JavaScript Errors in Microsoft Outlook

If you or your customers constantly receive random JavaScript errors when using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook like below, then follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab.
  2. Go to the Browsing history section and click the Delete button
  3. In the Delete Browsing History dialogue select Preserve Favourites website data, Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and then click Deletesolution1
  4. Close all the Internet Explorer dialogues
  5. Now go to Windows Explorer and type the following address in:  C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files – where <user> is your username
  6. Select all the files under that entry and delete them
  7. Type in the following address: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UserData (don’t forget to change the <user> entry)
  8. Select all the files under that entry and delete them
  9. Test
